Gaastra shoot IJmuiden

As a new Blogger for Gaastra I will first introduce myself before I will bore you with all my blogs. Every month I will write something about my life and where I am in the world. Some of you might know who I am of just hearing my name but for the persons that doesn’t just look at the pictures of Gaastra. I am the cute and sexy brunette with the green eyes.

Besides that I like writing I work as a fulltime model. In Amsterdam my agency is Elite Model Amsterdam. This is also my mother agency. For the rest I am established in agencies all over the world. For example Ford models in Paris, Select Models in London. Stars in Dusseldorf, Munich models in Munchen. Beatrice in Milan, New Models in Brussel and Elite in Stockholm.

Before my modeling career I graduated at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute. The study course I did was Concept and branding. I Also participated in the reality show Expedition Unlimited. This was a show with 5 models and 5 disabled people. I was pared up with a guy with no legs and had to cycle throw Africa in a special bike. The program was for charity and it was amazing to be a part of that.

For my work I travel around the world and see amazing places and locations. This year Alone I had shoots in Mauritius, Tenerife, Guadeloupe, Phuket, Paris, London, Germany and Brussel. I live with the day and with a full suitcase because I never know where I will be next.

For this first blog I will tell you something about the shooting I did with Gaastra last week: It is Spring, the birds are singing and I wake up every day with a big smile on my face! I love the sun! Today I am shooting for Gaastra! I love working for them and I feel as a part of the Brand. I belong there and love to see everyone again. At 05:45 I am being picked up to go the IJmuiden where the shooting is taking place.

All the other models are from London and already arrived the night before. I am shooting with two other guys and one other girl. I already know the other models because we all have the same agency in London. At 7 I arrive in the hotel near the harbour. The other models are still sleeping and I am already in the make-up. Half an hour later the other models arrive.

The look for Gaastra is really natural with a sexy touch on the eyes. I work a lot with the make-up artist so in no time he turns me in to a true beauty. After the make-up is finished we are leaving to the sailing boot.

Today it is very sunny so that means we can go out and sail. We are shooting summer clothing and some campaign images like the Sneek week. In spite of the sun is it still really cold if you stand just in your shorts with a polo. I am the first one to go on the picture. I rather work all day than sit around and wait. I love my job and so I can let everyone see what I can do!

How later it gets how warmer the sun gets. The guys from London are having a hard time to get over the cold and to warm up they are pretending to be on the Titanic. It is really hilarious. Around two o’clock we sail back into the harbour for a lunch and some thee to get warm.

Everyone is really having a good time in spite of the cold and since there is still a lot to do we quickly finish our lunch and go back into the boat. Everyone is smiling and the pictures look amazing. Around six we finish the last shoot and we are sailing back into the harbour. The other female model Phoebe is blue from the cold. I try to warm her up. I am just used to the cold so it doesn’t bother me that much. I also imagine that I am shooting in Saint Bart and then I will get all warm inside. After we made it to shore I put Phoebe in the car to warm her up.

After we finished to get all the stuff from the boat the team decide to do a group dinner to celebrate the amazing shooting day! Unfortunately the models from London have to go the the airport.

After dropping the models off at the airport we are on our way to LOETJE. LOETJE is a really nice restaurant in Ouderkerk aan de Amstel. Really close to the mean office of Gaastra. After arriving in Loetje the hole team and I are enjoying a glass of wine to toast on the good day! After a nice dinner and some nice conversations I am on my way home to take a warm bath and finish the day with that. I am already looking forward to the shoot in June!!
